Role:

Staycity Group is seeking an experienced Senior Web Engineer to join our team in the Dublin Head Office, to design, build and evolve the systems that power our booking engine, online check-in and guest experience platforms across the Staycity and Wilde brands. These platforms currently process approximately €60M in annual bookings, with significant growth expected over the coming years.

This role is focused on the end to end delivery, performance and continuous improvement of customer facing digital products within a high growth hospitality environment. The successful candidate will work across frontend applications, backend services and cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalable, reliable and high quality solutions that support both guest journeys and business operations.

The position involves working within an Azure hosted ecosystem, contributing to .NET based services and modern React applications, while also supporting the evolution of our technical architecture and engineering standards. This is a hands on role requiring ownership of complex features from concept through to production, with a strong emphasis on adaptability across technologies and collaboration within a cross functional engineering team.

What you can do for us:

• Design and deliver scalable features across frontend, backend and Azure cloud infrastructure, supporting critical booking and guest experience systems
• Take ownership of complex initiatives from concept through to production, delivering with minimal oversight
• Build and optimise backend services that power booking, availability and payment flows
• Write clean, maintainable and well tested code, adapting confidently as our technology stack evolves
• Contribute to architectural decisions and continuously improve system design and engineering standards
• Leverage AI assisted development tools to accelerate delivery, improve quality and enhance team workflows
• Ensure high levels of quality through testing, code reviews and proactive performance monitoring
• Collaborate effectively with cross functional stakeholders, translating requirements into robust technical solutions
• Support and mentor engineers within the team, contributing to onboarding and knowledge sharing
• Play an active role in agile delivery, including planning, estimation and continuous improvement of team practices

We would love you to have:

• Strong experience with C# and modern .NET in full stack environments
• Proven track record building and operating production systems on Azure or similar cloud platforms
• Solid frontend development experience using React or similar frameworks, with strong HTML and CSS skills
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and integrating with third party services
• Strong understanding of SQL Server, including query optimisation and data modelling
• Experience working within agile teams using CI and CD pipelines
• Ability to write clean, maintainable and well tested code using modern testing frameworks
• Confidence working across the full stack, from UI through to backend services and infrastructure
• Strong problem solving skills with attention to detail and edge cases
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with technical and non technical stakeholders

Nice to have:

• Experience with payment systems or payment gateway integrations such as Stripe
• Exposure to e commerce or B2C platforms, ideally in high volume environments
• Familiarity with Azure Functions, CosmosDB or other cloud native tools
• Experience with AI assisted development tools and interest in improving engineering workflows
• Background in hospitality systems, multi currency or internationalised platforms
