Development Manager, Iberia

The role:
This is an exciting opportunity for someone early in their career who is looking to build hands on experience within hospitality and development. Working closely with Director of Development Iberia, the successful candidate will support the sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, and execution of new development opportunities across Spain and Portugal.

We are looking for a commercially minded individual with strong analytical capabilities, excellent communication skills, and the drive to work in a fast-paced development environment.

We would love you to have:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience within hospitality, real estate, consulting, investment, development, or private equity.

• Strong financial and analytical skills with confidence using Excel

• Experience preparing feasibility studies, financial models, or investment analysis would be advantageous.

• Excellent communication and relationship building skills.

• A resilient, driven, and proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and within a team.

• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

• Commercial awareness and interest in hospitality and real estate development.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Curiosity around innovation, AI, and streamlining business processes.

• Fluency in Spanish and English is essential.

• Must be based in Madrid and willing to travel regularly

What you can do for us:

• Support the identification, sourcing, and evaluation of new development opportunities across Spain and Portugal.

• Assist with financial feasibility analysis and preparation of quick and effective financial models.

• Work closely with the feasibility and development teams to assess potential projects and opportunities.

• Prepare presentations and investment materials for landlords, owners, and partners.

• Support negotiations with landlords and stakeholders alongside the wider development team.

• Build and maintain relationships with brokers, owners, consultants, and industry contacts across Iberia.

• Attend industry events and maintain a strong presence within the hospitality and real estate sectors.

• Assist with pipeline management, internal reporting, and project tracking.

• Contribute to market research, competitor analysis, and strategic growth initiatives.

• Collaborate with internal teams including feasibility, design, finance, and project management throughout the development lifecycle.

• Help drive efficiencies and process improvements, including the use of AI tools and technology where appropriate.
