About the Role

Staycity Group is looking for an exceptional Chief Operating Officer to join our Executive Committee and lead the operational performance and continued evolution of our growing European portfolio.

The role has two clear priorities: driving performance and transformation across our existing portfolio while building the operating capability required to support continued growth, new properties and new markets.

We are looking for an outstanding B2C leader with experience of complex, multi-site operations, significant growth and transformation. You may come from hospitality or another customer-facing sector. What matters most is your commercial strength, experience of scale and ability to lead high-performing operations through growth and change.

Above all, you will be an exceptional leader, setting clear direction and delivering through a strong senior leadership team.

What You'll Be Responsible For

· Lead the operational performance of the portfolio across guest, people, commercial and operational outcomes.

· Bring strong P&L discipline, ensuring operational decisions support revenue, margin and sustainable growth.

· Drive improvements in performance, productivity and profitability across the existing portfolio.

· Establish clear performance measures, operating rhythms and accountability.

· Work closely with Revenue, Finance, Marketing and other functions to align operational and commercial priorities.

Growth, Scale & Transformation

· Build and evolve the operating model and organisational capability required to support Staycity's continued growth.

· Balance growth through new properties and markets with performance and transformation across the existing portfolio.

· Ensure structures, systems, processes and leadership capability evolve as the organisation scales.

· Lead operational readiness and delivery of new openings.

· Create a clear vision for operational transformation and deliver it through your leadership team.

· Build a culture of curiosity and continuous improvement, constantly looking for opportunities to simplify, improve and strengthen performance.

· Bring greater structure and accountability where required without losing the pace and entrepreneurial mindset that has supported Staycity's growth.

Functional Leadership

· Oversee the operational performance of F&B, ensuring strong execution, cost management and commercial discipline.

· Hold executive accountability for Health & Safety, operational governance and risk across the portfolio.

Executive Leadership

· Play a key role on ExCom, contributing to Staycity's overall strategy, performance and long-term growth.

· Bring clear operational and commercial insight to strategic, investment and growth decisions.

· Build, develop and empower a high-performing senior leadership team.

· Provide clear performance insight and recommendations to the CEO and Board.

What You'll Bring

· Significant senior leadership experience within a fast moving B2C company.

· Experience of significant scale, either leading a growth journey or playing a meaningful senior leadership role through one.

· Strong commercial and P&L capability, ideally gained in a tight-margin operating environment.

· Experience balancing significant growth with the performance and transformation of an existing operation.

· A track record of leading operational or organisational transformation.

· Experience leading through senior leaders across multiple locations and markets.

· Insatiable curiosity, with a natural drive to challenge and continuously improve.

· Exceptional leadership capability, with a track record of building and developing high-performing senior teams.

· International or multi-market experience.
