Learning & Development Manager
Shape learning across a growing European hospitality group, build leadership capability and help our people and business thrive.
Learning & Development Manager
Staycity Group brings together two leading aparthotel brands — Staycity Aparthotels and Wilde Aparthotels — united by a shared commitment to modern, flexible hospitality. Across our properties and support teams, our goal is simple: to deliver exceptional experiences for our guests and create an environment where our people can do their best work.
Whether you're joining our operations or head office teams, you'll be part of a fast-growing European hospitality group built on our values of curiosity, drive, collaboration, kindness and respect. We're a diverse and inclusive team where people are encouraged to bring their unique selves to work and grow.
The role
We're looking for an ambitious and results-driven Learning & Development Manager to join our People Team.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of Learning & Development across a growing European hospitality group. Working closely with our Chief People Officer (CPO) and senior leadership team, you'll have the autonomy to shape our learning strategy, influence business priorities and build the capabilities needed to support our continued growth.
You'll combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, using data, insight and feedback to identify opportunities, challenge existing approaches and focus investment where it will have the greatest impact.
With the trust and support of the CPO, you'll have the freedom to make decisions, bring new ideas and turn them into meaningful outcomes. This is a role for someone who wants to make a tangible difference to leadership capability, business performance and the development of our people.
Benefits:
Paid family leave (after one year of service).
Flexible working patterns.
Generous holiday allowance.
Bonus scheme rewarding high performers, based on our core values and individual property goals.
Discounted overnight stays for you, your family and friends.
Refer and earn scheme.
Cycle to Work scheme.
Education support.
Two paid volunteer days per year.
Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) for you and your family.
We'd love you to have:
3+ years' experience in Learning & Development, ideally within a multi-site, fast-paced or growing organisation.
A track record of designing and delivering learning strategies and programmes that improve business performance.
Experience developing leadership capability, particularly in operational or customer-facing environments.
Strong commercial awareness and confidence using data, performance metrics and feedback to identify capability gaps, prioritise investment and measure impact.
The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, taking initiatives from idea through to implementation.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence and constructively challenge senior leaders.
Experience managing external training providers and learning partnerships.
A proactive, results-driven approach, with the confidence to take ownership, make decisions and work autonomously.
Natural curiosity, adaptability and a continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to bring people along with you.
What you can do for us:
Shape our L&D strategy: Own the group's learning agenda, aligning priorities with business strategy, growth plans and organisational needs.
Develop leadership capability: Design and deliver impactful development programmes for General Managers and the wider leadership team, strengthening management capability, performance and succession.
Drive business performance: Partner with senior leaders to identify capability gaps and deliver practical learning solutions that address operational and commercial priorities.
Use data to measure impact: Evaluate learning effectiveness through performance metrics, feedback and business insight, ensuring investment delivers meaningful results.
Develop our people: Strengthen skills, support career development and build internal talent pipelines across the group.
Lead and deliver initiatives: Take ownership of learning projects from concept to implementation, including induction, guest service and leadership development programmes.
Improve operational standards: Develop practical, scalable learning solutions that enhance guest experience, service standards and consistency across our properties.
Build strong partnerships: Work closely with the CPO, senior leadership team and wider People function, bringing insight, recommendations and solutions to the table.
Manage learning partnerships: Build effective relationships with external providers, ensuring quality, value and impact.
Champion continuous learning: Facilitate workshops and development experiences, challenge existing approaches and create engaging learning content that works across different teams, locations and countries.
